How to import the glyph sets from Illustrator

Post by bend123 »

Hi,
I am planning to set design the glyphs sets including the spacing between the glyphs in Illustrator and would like to import into FontCreator to create Font. Can you please assist with the steps?

You will need to adjust the spacing between glyphs in FontCreator. The scaling (pixels per em) and initial position (Origin X, and Origin Y) of the imported contours can be set in Options, Exchange, but that can only set the lower left corner of the imported glyphs. Glyphs with descenders like g, j, y will be too high, and glyphs that need to overshoot the baseline like O or Q will need fine adjustments after import.

Ok, thank you. I think I have to try that before setting up in illustrator. I will surely reply to this post when I am done with the design in illustrator. Working on other design elements.
