How to calculate metrics values?

Post by Torsten Ulv »

Hello.
Sorry for my illiteracy.
Have you removed this spacing calculation option?

Can the interval be calculated automatically now? The instructions do not say anything about this, and all information is only for the early version.

No, those calculate buttons will return soon, but right now they are not available.

Here is a release that comes with two Calculate buttons used to calculate values for metrics for horizontal writing mode. The values will be calculated for all masters.

:!: I concluded a little quickly. I noticed that when I change the value of 'Units to em' and calculate the metrics, in the window of any glyph, the readings are not accurate, namely the metrics do not change their values. Although, in general, the font has changed size. Or am I wrong?

I am not sure what you want to achieve, but changing the upem value does not change any other font data, like outlines, metrics, kerning, etc.
