Do you listen to music while fontmaking?

Post by William »

Do you listen to music while fontmaking?

Or do you like everything quiet?

Sometimes I like to have things quiet and sometimes I like to have music in the background. To some extent it depends upon the complexity of what I am doing, quiet for the most complex items.

I found the following which some readers might like to try as background music while fontmaking.

Canon In D | Pachelbel's Canon | 1 Hour Version

Do other readers have any particular music to which they like to listen while fontmaking or do they like it quiet?

Yes, I do like to listen to music while making my own fonts.

Sometimes I like it quiet but other times I like some music on.

But not music with words, that would be distracting.

I think the best background music for most intellectual activities is either classical music or Tangerine Dream (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... full+album) either 'Melrose', 'Optical Race' or 'Ricochet' but there are many other good ones like the 'Atomic Seasons' series which is about five hours long.

The newer TD albums are a lot better than the old ones.
