Center Edit Window

I would like for the Edit window to open centered on the glyph rather than the origin.

Right now it tries to include the ascender and descender, and centers the glyph horizontally. I thought that had more benefits.

Most of the time I'm starting with empty windows so ...
Perhaps nothing can be done.
