I'm trialing FontCreator.
I know nothing of AutoCad and such programs,
but I'm fairly competent with SVG.
When you say FontCreator can now import Vector images
I assumed it meant SVG vectors. I note it cannot.
Have you any plans to make it possible?

I can convert my svg to .png or .bmp.
But it seems very round-about.

Your testimonials and my first impressions leave me feeling veery confident.

Two different topics.
When I tried to Register, it told me to key in the characters
visible at the bottom of the Contact page.
It took me some time to find a contact page with such data
at the bottom. Then I started to register all over again.

When I registered, the email confirming my registration
displayed my password. Moreover, it told me retain the email.

No, not right now. We certainly will consider adding SVG vector import support, if more people request it.

Meanwhile, you might like to try exporting from your drawing application as a PDF file, which will import into FontCreator. In my tests, it was quicker and gave fewer nodes, although it also gave some duplicated contours.

The attachment was printed from Inkscape to PDF Factory.

I'm afraid I don't use a Drawing Application which produces a PDF file.
I simply hard code using a text editor.
Hence my suggestion i need to convert to bmp or png.
But thanks for your suggestion.

There is an open source PDF creation program you may find useful if you are a Windows user. http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/

Basically, once you install, work in your coding program (providing it is Windows platform), all you do is PRINT ... instead of choosing you printer to actually print, choose the PDF Creator.

I am not 100% sure this will work for you, but I believe if you try InkScape (FREE vector program ~ very nice) http://www.inkscape.org/ to load (open to view) your completed SVG file, then Print, you should have proper SVG to PDF conversion.

Downloaded PDFCreator.It created a 'Printer'
Used my usual edditor, chose File.Print.
Selected PDFCreator.
IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY.

This feature request has now been implemented in FontCreator 10.

FontCreator can now import SVG images. The Professional Edition can also copy Vector outlines to the clipboard for pasting into vector applications, such as Inkscape for editing there.
