Multiple Unicode Mappings

Post by Mike Thompson »

Dick Pape pointed out (in the Gallery forum) that some of my glyphs were mapped to two Unicode characters, for instance the Hebrew letter bet is mapped to HEBREW LETTER BET and to LATIN SMALL LETTER A.
Unfortunately if the apparently superfluous mapping to LATIN SMALL LETTER A is removed the wordprocessor DavkaWriter can't find the bet.

I don't think that DavkaWriter is using Unicode at all. It is probably using the old ASCII code table so it uses a hex 61 to find the bet that is sitting in the location of the 'a'.

Is the someway to put explicit ASCII mappings into the Mike Hebrew font and get rid of incorrect Unicode mappings such as LATIN SMALL LETTER A?
