[FIXED] Interpolation

Post by Greentrik6789 »

hi, i'm having a little problem with the font variable, the interpolation of the font variable that i made a little bit messed up when i tried it in photoshop and the web. this issue occurs in characters X, x, 5, 8, and other characters with similar shapes. in the font creator software, interpolation works fine without any problems.

That is due to a very rare bug. We will need some time to fix it, hopefully tomorrow.

Hello, I get a new problem.
I tried my font in Photoshop, and I found 3 characters having a problem similar to the previous one, but this appeared only in Photoshop.
I also found a problem when exporting instances, my font characters are unreadable, is it because the size of my font is too wide?
What size is the maximum width and height of the character?

Better contact Adobe to inform them. They have been fixing numerous issues related to variable fonts.

I am not sure, but that is most likely the problem. Exporting TrueType based does work, so it is CFF related. Do try at 90% or 80% of your max axes to see if that works.

Those work just fine here. Can you please send one of those exported font files to us for testing?

Font character can be read if an instance is 25% for each variation (25, -25, 25, -25)

This is how it looks like on my system:

In this case I think it is wise to export with TrueType based outlines.
