irregular values and trouble with Glyph-Metrics/Properties

it seems, as if there would be some kind of default-values in some
glyph-windows, that cannot be changed. For example: the small characters "a", "i", "e", "u" all have a "left-side-bearing" of about +55 points, to put them right in the family of the other characters. But
strangely the small character "o", that is similar formed on left side and
should have also about +55 points, requieres a value of about -25 points to go into the right position to the other characters. What is wrong there?
Has anybody a good idea what to do there?

PS:deleting the old "o"-glyph-window and creating a new one, did not
change anything

Hello jcantic,

It would be helpful to know which font you are talking about and which version of FCP you are using. Is the font in question one which you have fashioned, an installed one from MS, or one you have obtained elsewhere?
