Generate Glyph Names

Hi,

FC generates glyph names as uni901. Is there a way, I can force to generate names with prefix as 'u' only instead of 'uni'. The reason - the names becomes long and I wanted to keep it as short as possible.

If there is no UI option, is there a way to do it through some export / import capability?

Any help is very much appreciated.

1. Tools, Options, Advanced, Copy Data Files to User Data Folder.
2. Open User Data Folder
3. Edit glyphnames.dat in notepad or whatever
4. Name each codepoint that you wish to have a custom name.

I have done like this:
