Dick Pape Update
For those of you that don't know, Our Dick Pape is a very busy guy!
I first met him on line at High-Logic in 2004, when he was already a member here. He has been steadily churning out fonts ever since, chasing (and passing in my opinion) his hero, Manfred Klein of Germany.
Luc Devroye of McGill University, Montreal, Canada has noticed and put all DP's fonts on his web site with links.
Read about them here:
http://luc.devroye.org/pape.html
Download them here:
http://luc.devroye.org/pape/
Clicking on the .bmp will show you what the font looks like, clicking on the .ttf will download the font.

Of course I couldn't do it without others: TTD initials came from DCrosby, Software came from EDenissen, Technical guidance from BPesala, Dinner from Beverly.

A treasure I just gleaned from the above is Ihlenburg(1884).ttf in Fonto Fonts.
Note the fancy surrounding period at the end of the name and just before ttf at the top of the image.
And THIS presents some beaufantastiwonderswell ideas!
I hadn't seen this style before. The font needs some numbers in my opinion, but I love the way the period works! Note the fancy surrounding period at the end of the name and just before ttf at the top of the image.

Re: Dick Pape Update
Hi Dave -- you may have noticed I don't often do numbers or lower case... I have learned some punctuations over the years. I've a set of periods and commas I reuse from font to font -- saves time and energies.
I'm thinking of taking a drawing class but I've heard Vn 7 will have great writing tools...
Ihlenburg has many options without good letter spacing. And

Re: Dick Pape Update
Hi, I registered just so I could message Dick Pape. I want to thank you for your Jack Daniels fonts, I've used them in a shirt design for my brand and will be included in my Kickstarter campaign. If they prove popular, I want to cut you in on some profits. It wasn't until recently I found out who made them (since I was a moron when I first started and vectored my design without saving an original 'text intact' version, I didn't know the names of them). I'm not a greedy dude and I fully recognize that my design would have been seriously lacking with out your close match fonts. So again, thank you, and keep doing what you do.
Jonathan

Hello Jonathan.
Thanks for the note. I am glad you were able to use the fonts. Any profits should go to Font Creator, the platform which makes the whole thing possible!

Hi Dave -- Just takes a lot longer nowadays ... Inhale, exhale, inhale, cough, cough. See it's still working, a little. Dick

As you can see, I owe it all to the D Boys: Erwin D and Luc D... without them - no listings ... no ripple ...
