G'day from Australia.
I have just downloaded the trial.
I have windows 10, which is a brand new computer, only a week old.
When I try and test a font that is already in the system, I just get a generic sample, not characters (glyphs) from the actual font opened.
See following example.
I assume that I must be doing something wrong as I am a complete beginner.
Please help. Thank you.

Opus Percussion Standard is a music symbol font from Sibelius software. Does it have any glyphs in the Latin Basic character set? (A-z)

Thank you for your quick response.
Here is a screen dump of some of the glyphs in the music font. I assume some of them should show up in the test, but I might be wrong.
Paul.

Re: Beginner. Unable to test font in Windows 10
As you can see from the glyph names in the captions, most of those glyphs are not in the Latin Basic character set, nor Latin 1 Supplement (Á to ÿ), but are spacing modifier accents, so they are not included in your font preview.
Select the glyphs that you want to preview, and press the "P" shortcut to show the Preview toolbar. You can then copy the glyphs from the text field on that toolbar, and paste them into the font test window.

Thank you for your fast response.
We are almost there. I wonder if the problem I am having is because I am using the demo mode.
I have done what you suggested and get the proper glyph/s showing in the preview window. But when I copy the glyph/s and paste them into the Test TTF/OTF window I just get the generic display. I get the same display, no matter what font I open.
Thank you for your assistance.

This sounds like the same problem I am having.
Try using the "Test current font as WOFF" adjacent to the "Test current font as TTF/OTF"

The issue Paul has with the Test Font Dialog only occurs during the trial period. People with a valid license don't have this problem, so this issue is not related to your problem.Leon Gauthier wrote:This sounds like the same problem I am having.

Ahem, I tried it myself and the Open Type features did not work (you told me yourself that it did not display my test properly) and when I clicked the "Open Type features not working" button, I was re-directed to this forum where I got a message like "The requested topic does not exist."Erwin Denissen wrote:The issue Paul has with the Test Font Dialog only occurs during the trial period. Paul's font doesn't contain OpenType features, so has nothing to-do with your problem.
