Fuzzy on the backup/restore process

Post by jarodsafehouse71 »

Hi!

I have looked at your tutorial here and I'm a little fuzzy on backing up my fonts through MT.

I understand the process of backing up the data/vault/cache items but what about the actual fonts? Do I still need to backup my fonts as I normally would or will MT somehow back them up?
"You can now backup your complete font library through a new utility (High-Logic FmsConfig) that comes with MainType. See the screenshot below."
Thank you!

Fonts can be exported from MainType from the File menu or installed, so if you have backed up the vault you have also backed up the fonts. The backup should, of course, be on an external drive in case your hard drive fails.
