[FIXED] Program Freeze

Post by PJMiller »

After making many unsaved changes to a font I am working on I did a simple union of contours and the program stopped (not responding), I thought it might be taking it's time so I left it for a while, enough time for me to go to the kitchen and make a cup of tea then return to the study. The program was still frozen when I came back. :(

I am using 2537 (64 bit).

I'm sorry about the inconvenience, but the only way to move on is to force FontCreator to end, and then start all over again.

This used to be an issue a decade a go, but it seems there is still an issue here. We can only try to fix it, if you're able to reproduce it, and that is probably not going to happen soon.

This is the first time I have had this happen with FC 12 but it has happened before on other versions, very intermittently and I was not able to reproduce it.

The only difference this time was the large number of unsaved changes. :(

Hmm ... I did manage to reproduce what I had done, and with some improvements. But I must admit that I did curse the program at the time.
