I'm using MainType since V4 and was always very content. But now, after upgrading to V9, fontservice.exe uses 85 to 95% of my CPU - since about 15 hours! It has scanned 150.000 resources! until now and tells me, that it woult take another 5 hours - steadily increasing. I have 700 active fonts und 33.000 fonts in other folders, but 150.000??? What is happening? As soon as I pause the process (via system explorer) the system runs normally. When I restart the fontservice no other work is possible.
I use win10/64, Dual Core and 8GB RAM

Re: fontservice.exe goes crazy
That is good to know.
We fixed two major issues. One that could crash MainType, and one that caused the font service to get into an endless loop.
Do let us know if you still encounter problems. Otherwise, enjoy the software
