Nonactive fonts or . . . ?

Post by Littleviews »

I have a new computer on which MainType is running.

I can't remember what I did when I set it up except that I had a number of fonts on my old computer on my new one. What I discovered is that I now have a number of non-activated fonts including Arial.

I tried Arial in Microsoft word and it is not, indeed, present. I got an error message saying that another font is being used instead, which happens to be Helvetica.

All that in mind, how did I get so many "uninstalled fonts" and what can I do to get rid of them in my MainType font list?

If the previous computer was running an older version of Windows, it is possible your new computer has both old and new versions of several fonts.

Do you see multiple versions of Arial in your Font Library list?
