Hello,
I'm having a little trouble. I'm trying to edit an existing Font to create a Single-Line font from it.
So far I was following a simple tutorial on another website;
1. I went into Tools > Options > Enable Open Contours
2. Export Settings > Open contours > Single Stroke
I changed the Opacity to 20% in the Letter editing window.
I drew new contours, for the letter "A", and in the main window it looks correct. Just a single line "A". However when I export, the letter "A" is just a black Triangle.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Single Line Font
This is expected as real single line fonts do not exist. FontCreator does allow you to design like it, and some CNC-related machines are able to work with them.FontManStan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 1:14 pm Hello,

I'm trying to alter a font to be used with a CNC machine which needs single line, I'm following that link/tutorial but it doesn't seem to help me fix my issue.Erwin Denissen wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:26 amThis is expected as real single line fonts do not exist. Re: Single Line Font
Do you have a specific issue other than the issues mentioned in that tutorial?

The tutorial doesn't list my issue. I've attached some pictures.Erwin Denissen wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 7:40 pm Do you have a specific issue other than the issues mentioned in that tutorial?
The edited "A" glyph is showing correctly in FontCreator after I edited the original and used a single-line instead. But after exporting the Font is defaults to a black Triangle.
I followed the settings used in the tutorial.

I understand you don't like it, but this is what it is. This is also mentioned in the tutorial.FontManStan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 02, 2022 5:47 pmThe tutorial doesn't list my issue.
