[CLOSED] COLR font Nabla from google fonts does not work/render correctly

Post by timmaffett »

In loading the COLR and variable font Nabla from google fonts ( https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Nabla ... uery=Nabla ) the current FontCreator 14.0 does not render/display the glyphs correctly.

In addition, it gets very sluggish and seems to essentially hang.

I can confirm the issue. If I try to open it in FontCreator 13, I get an error message: Unknown COLR table version (1).

Nabla has both SVG and COLRv1 outlines.

FontCreator currently does not support COLR version 1, only version 0 is supported.

The SVG part is supported by the specs, but is a little too complicated for FontCreator, so that's why it renders numerous glyphs on top of each other.
