kerning for alternate

kerning for alternate

i have added my alternate characer, is showed and works clearly. but when i select the letter isnt showed in opentype feature to be kern. also are kerning tool is isnt work for alternate too?

Alternate glyphs often have a different design to regular glyphs, and may well require different kerning values.

You will need to add kerning pairs for them. The same is often true for accented glyphs.

Consider these pairs, for example: Ta Tā Tà Tá Tâ Tä Tå Tã. Ta may need a negative kerning value, while the others may need a positive kerning value, except perhaps for Tá and Tå, which may need a negative kerning value, but one that is less than that for Ta.
