Hi,
I want to uninstall all the superfluous fonts in my Win 10 system.
But, I know there are SOME fonts which Windows itself relies on.
What's a list of the BASIC set of fonts one would need to have the FEWEST number of fonts possible AND still keep Windows going?
Put another way, if there was just 20 fonts that are REQUIRED for Windows to run, what fonts are those? Or, 30? Or, any such list. Too much writing I've got to do, and I hope to not have to scroll through 400 fonts.
I know that Windows has a hide fonts feature. But, it seems to not work for many or any programs at all - certainly not Word and the like.

MainType identifies these fonts as system fonts.
Within MainType you are not allowed to uninstall, unload or delete active system fonts. Although Microsoft has no public list of such fonts, MainType identifies these fonts as system fonts:
