Stylizing & Sizing Issue(s)

For some reason, I can't get my characters any bigger than they already are. At 12-point they're really tiny no matter how much I adjust the sizing. I change the sizing in Birdfont, then import into FontCreator, because it's easier for me to adjust using the former. I don't know if that's affecting anything.

ALSO

When I try to stylize my characters to make them bold for example I get this problem.

Try recalculating the font metrics from the Masters Tab of the Font Properties Panel. The size of the glyphs at 12 point depends on their size relative to WinAscent and WinDescent, plus Typo Line Gap.
