If there was an option of adding text boxes, for entering different languages - one next to the other.
and examine how the typographic color functions.

You can also add a color palette to examine the text in a negative (this is also useful)

Doesn't the Preview Panel already do this? It is just a matter of adding text strings for each language, then switching between them using the drop list.

This is software for designing glyphs, it's not InDesign.
(Although many times I draw vectors in Font Creator and not in Illustrator because Font Creator supports square and cubic Bezier curves).
