unsupported CFF2 table

On opening font I got the error below:
The font contains an unsupported CFF2 table. Do visit our website to see if a more recent version supports it.

How can i open this?

I have the latest test version (15.0.0.2958), which can be downloaded from this post, but I am also unable to open it.

FontCreator currently does not support CFF2. It is not widely adopted yet, but it is on the to-do list.

What does CFF2 actually do ?

Compact Font Format (CFF) version 2 (CFF2) is the format that stores a variable font with cubic bezier curves.
