Process for Adding Slant Master with Anchors

Post by outofstepfontco »

Hi there
What is the correct process for adding a slant master, that also slants the anchors for you?

Here is what I am doing, but the anchors are staying in their old unslanted locations:
  • Create a new Axis called "Slant" using the slnt tag
    Select Regular slnt 0 master
Create a new master > Copy from current location
    Set the slant to -12
Set the Italic Angle (degrees) to -12
Tools > Italic > -12 angle > Set font subfamily and font design to Italic > Do not preserve side bearings
I would expect something along there would tilt the anchors, but they stay in their old locations.

Any ideas?

The next update will also move the anchors, but even then glyph outlines with components need attention.

Okay thank you. I will hold off on adding slant versions until the feature is added.
