I had a blast making it. I was 16 when the first wave of punk happened and I've been part of its DIY culture ever since, working as a volunteer, playing in bands, designing posters, album covers, logos, websites and... fonts. Most of it free and rights free, since the late 1970's.
The font is a collection of samples and snippets from my youth and my friends. I coded it (with the help of the awesome Fontcreator Open Type Designer) to be as obnoxious as it can; it forces grammar mistakes, switches characters and entire words, it's a roller coaster of a font, if you have otf enabled.
It comes with a poster and an 80 page booklet which explains where some of the samples and snippets come from.
I've released it on FontSpace and DaFont about two weeks ago, and there have already been about 7000 downloads, and I've been getting nothing but positive reviews from the punk and the typography social media bubbles.
Download it https://www.fontspace.com/very-very-punk-font-f127543, try it out and tell me what you think!
