Hi forum,
I have 2 numbers 8 and 9 and I want to align this inside a circle. This whole thing will be a single glyph. Actually I am preparing circled number font from number 1 to 100. I want to fit the numbers at the center of the circle. I am unable to center them so currently I am doing it manually.
What is the easy solution
Thanks

Numbers inside end of ayah symbol
Hi
I am working on a font where I want to type numbers inside a circle. I want to make it character based. Meaning maximum numbers which can fit inside a circle is from 1 to 999.
I have created a circle and I have latin numbers 0 to 9. What is an easy way? Ligature based will take lot of time and effort.
I am new in Fontcreator so a step by step instructions/video will be very helpful.
Thanks

Hi,
Working with numbers at the end of a ayah is not an easy task; it is quite complex, especially if you are new to working with FontCreator. You have two options: either the method you mentioned Ligature based, which requires 288 (not 999) if it's for the Quran, or the second professional method, which is more difficult. I will send you a video about it in Arabic. This is all I can assist you with, as I have now left the field of Typography..

Re: Selection of glyphs
Moved from Tutorials to the Support forum.
Vertical alignment is not always middle. That works fine for 80, but 20 needs to align top, while 50 needs to align bottom.
You will need to add glyphs to the private use area for numbers 21-100.
- Create Composite Glyphs using Large White Circle, and Superscript Glyphs.
- Align glyphs horizontally manually
- Align glyphs vertically using the Align Toolbar buttons
- Align glyph components using the Align Toolbar buttons

The quickest way to assembly the composites is to copy all of the glyph components from the glyph overview with Ctrl+Shift+Click and Ctrl+Click, then Ctrl+C, then paste all eleven components into each new composite glyph.
Finally, go through each composite, deleting the components that are not needed, and aligning the composites within the circle.
