On average, all images of individual symbols are 16x16 in size. The program warns that tracing works better with larger images, so I enlarge them in Paint.NET using the nearest neighbors method.
Here is an example of the shape of a question mark:

Regardless of the size, the import may not work at all, as if I were trying to load an empty transparent image.

It is noteworthy that after many attempts to import the same image, it may still work. So I'm interested to know why this happens?
