Why my font not searchable on PDF?

I noticed that searching for Hebrew text in a PDF file (and also copying text) depends on which font is used.
There are files in which searching and copying work well, and there are files in which it does not work, or works partially.
I've seen it depends on the font used, but i don't know how to fix that.
Which setting in the font can be fixed so that it can be searchable and copyable?

It depends on how the PDF was produced. Can you select the text?

The glyphs may have been converted to curves.

Yes I can select the text, but when I copy and paste, it comes out as gibberish.
It looks like something is wrong with the font encoding, although otherwise it works fine on Adobe InDesign etc.

Some PDF producers/readers rely on glyph names, so ensure those are correct. FontCreator has an option to export fonts with release names which should work.

I regenarated the glyph names, and the problem resolved. Thank you!
