Selecting values

Post by Fred Goldman » Thu Nov 29, 2007 10:29 pm

In Adobe InDesign when selecting a value you don't actually have to put your mouse in the value and physically select it. If you just click on the name of the value (for example click "Left side" under bearings) and it will automatically select the whole value and then you can type in whatever you'd like. I think it would a nice addition to FontCreator.

Yes. Quite a few dialogue boxes would benefit from this.

Meanwhile:
Open the Glyph Properties dialogue with Alter Enter, then hit Alter L to type in the left side-bearing value (or scroll with the up/down cursor keys to adjust it), or hit Alter A to adjust the advance width, which will move the right-side bearing.
