Multiple Identical System Fonts

Post by gryphon »

I have just installed MainType 3.0 build 91 on a new Win 7 PC and now find that I have multiple identical system fonts showing in my MainType window. All of the fonts are raster fonts and, being system fonts, I cannot remove them. The fonts in question are Courier (6 copies), MS Sans Serif (7 copies), MS Serif (5 copies), Terminal (17 copies) and Terminal Bold (6 copies). These fonts show up in the system font folder as single listings only. How did these get there and how do I get rid of the unnecessary copies?

Its quite normal — don't worry about it.

If you look deeper into the fonts I think you will find that they are not identical.
