In Open Type Designer there are boxes with numbers in them and if you click in the box you can either type in a number, click the up/down buttons or press the up/down arrow keys to change the number.
The method I normally use (out of habit) is to use the arrow keys if it is just a small change and type the number if it is a large change.
It would be nice if pressing the SHIFT key at the same time as pressing the arrow keys incremented/decremented the value by 10 instead of 1.

FontCreator 12 now supports the mousewheel for quickly changing values in dialogues. It might help to speed things up in some cases.
