This font see http://mikethompsonpaintings.com/font was first developed for DavkaWriter which is a powerfull and complex Hebrew word processor used a lot in the United States especially for religeous texts. It uses a proprietory mapping.
Next I added a Unicode mapping for use with Mellel wordprocessor on Mac OSX. Seemed to work well on both systems and no one complained.
To achieve this 'feature' of running on both applications I gave each Hebrew character two mappings.
Recently I got mail from Israel saying that my font was fine for typing Hebrew but when the user wanted to type something in English my font also appeared instead of the latin!
For the font obsessed this might be considered a joke
Well the upshot of this is that the proprietory mapping of Hebrew into latin code values will have to go.
