Can two font characters be in one glyph?

Post by BParkoff »

Hi,

Will I be able to design two font characters into the single glyph? If it is impossible, will I be able to insert two font characters in single character into Microsoft Word by pressing left ALT key and keypad Unicode numbers?

For example, I press and hold the left ALT key while entering keypads: 10495 in Microsoft Word before two or more characters appear to the screen. If not, what about FontCreator's scripts?

Kindly,
Bryan Parkoff

You can't type one letter in a text editor and then get two characters, but you can make a single glyph that consist out of two or more characters. For example the fi ligature, but you can be as creative as you want related to making glyph outlines.
