Scanahand is an excellent software that serves as a great assistant for quickly creating handwritten fonts. However, it seems to be more geared towards Western characters and may not have taken into account Asian scripts, such as Chinese.
Chinese characters are mostly square in shape, with the majority of characters having frames close to rectangles, although there are exceptions with characters that have fewer strokes. The issue encountered when using Scanahand to generate Chinese fonts is that the position of the generated characters does not align with the original writing, making the typesetting look unattractive. It would be helpful to have a specialized template that adds a square box within each writing frame for positioning, which could then be automatically removed after vectorization. I wonder if this is feasible.
There is also a problem, in the second step to fit the curve to add files, that is, drag dozens of pictures inside, every other one is blank, adding unsuccessful. Page after page must be added, resulting in a lot of work. Ask the developer to try it out for himself
