Alignment shortcut keys

Left Align: [L] (align left based on the last selected object). ‌‌

Right Align: [R] (align right based on the last selected object). ‌‌

Top Align: [T] (align top based on the last selected object). ‌‌

Bottom Align: [B] (align bottom based on the last selected object). ‌‌

Horizontal Center Align: [E] (align horizontally to the center). ‌‌

Vertical Center Align: [C] (align vertically to the center). ‌‌

Access Keys are usually assigned automatically on menus. C is for Centre alignment horizontally. I see no reason to change the defaults, which would only confuse existing users.

So, will there be a custom shortcut key function in the future?

Your screenshot shows the order of use:

  1. Select two anchor points
  2. Right-click on the selected anchor points
  3. Press [B]
  4. Press [R] to complete the right alignment

Since 2016, someone has proposed adding a shortcut key for the alignment function, just like in CorelDRAW, select two anchor points and press [R] to quickly align to the right.

If you mean this post from 2016, it is about the alignment of anchors.

Are you talking about aligning contours, nodes, or anchors?

Either way, what I said earlier still applies.
