I have now produced some Private Use Area code point allocations for various glyphs, one of which is for a lowercase alternate ending glyph for the ĥ character. They are in a post in the following thread.

Glyph Transformer scripts and the Private Use Area

I notice that the Glyph Transformer has a number of supplied scripts which add glyphs into the Unicode Private Use Area. Some of the glyphs added by the Ligature Collection.xml script are in the Private Use Area.
