Anchor not working for Latin Extended

Hi,

I’m having trouble with the Complete Composites feature in FontCreator.

I have already:

  1. Added anchors (top) to my base letters.

  2. Added matching anchors (top) to my diacritics.

However, when I try to generate Latin Extended glyphs, they remain empty and the anchors don’t connect automatically.

  • Do I need a specific naming convention for this to work?

  • Is there a setting/steps I missed in the Glyph Definitions?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

“Complete Composites” uses the combining diacritic glyphs (the …comb versions) for most Latin Extended characters. So if you used e.g. grave (U+0060) it won’t match what the generator expects. It expects gravecomb (U+0300). Same for acute/tilde/circumflex, etc.

Also make sure your composite has enabled AutoAttach.

This tutorial explains the expected accents/marks setup:
Latin Diacritical Marks - Accents

Let me know if that helps, and if not, do provide a minimal font project for us to look into.
