I have Font Creator 15 Pro edition. Is it possible to make - automatically - the font from bold the regular and opposite?
You can use the Glyph Transformer to make glyph outlines bolder or thinner.
Select Glyph Transformer from the Tools menu. Then you can find both Bold and Thin features in the Effects section of the available features.
To make a Bolf font out of a Regular one, you can load the Transform script named
Medium to Bold.xml
As available from this folder:
C:\Users<yourname>\Documenten\FontCreator\Transform
It contains both a Scale, Bold, and Move feature which ensures the outlines remain proportional and remain on the baseline.
Ensure you have selected All as Glyphs Range.
It is recommended to manually inspect each glyph and make adjustments if needed.
Then you also need to make sure the font properties are updated to reflect the change in Weight. So open the Font Properties panel and go to the Instance tab. There you might need to change the Style Name, Weight Class, and Panose.
