Characters pane as a Word document

I think I’m missing something here.
How is it possible to obtain an MS Word document from the option to print the Characters Pane/Toolbar? I can obtain Word documents from font listings by exporting as .rtf files and opening in MS Word but the Characters Pane defeats all attempts I make.

Maybe I’m missing something, where did you read about this?

I doubt whether you’ll be missing something Erwin!
I didn’t read about it anywhere; I just hoped that someone had found a devilishly clever way of doing it. I’d settle for round-about way .

You can print the character set to a PDF driver.

Thank you Bhikkhu Pesala. That is excellent. I have a PDF driver but it will not print anything above code point 255 reliably. Which one produced your very welcome file?

I use Fine Print PDF Factory. You could also try PrimoPDF, which is free. PrimoPDF also works fine, but the installation is a bit defective for Windows 9x. See this post for a fix.
