Copy Glyph to Background Image

Imported glyphs often have too many unnecessary points.
Deleting the points without losing the original outline is difficult.

I have pressed H to hide the background, done a Screen Copy, Save, then finally used that for background to make sure I maintain the shape as I remove points.

It would be nice to be able to press a button and the existing glyph automatically provides the background image.

Then I could manually remove points, fluff it up, and move on to the next glyph.

So far this is the best suggestion of the year!

But serious, I think this is a very good idea, so expect to see it in the next release!

Talk about luck! I woke up early (4 AM here) so, so far, this is the ONLY suggestion of the year.

Actually, I really didn’t think you could do it. It was just a pipe dream … whatever a pipe dream is.
