Creating PDF Font Catalogs

Does anyone know if there a way to print a PDF Font Catalog out of MainType without some of the fonts substituting to Courier?

For example, I printed an 8 page PDF Font catalog and out of approx. 40 fonts about 5 subtitute typestyle!!!

I wish MainType had a feature where you could convert all type to outlines.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Dennis

MainType is not responsible for the output of the PDF, that is done by the PDF producer, in your case Acrobat Distiller 7.0.5 (Windows). It seems it has problems with embedding (some) PostScript Type 1 fonts.

It might be the length of the font name, but I’m not sure. Can you please send me the 8 page PDF so I can try to locate the exact cause.

I’ve received a couple of fonts from you. I started MainType, and pointed the browse folder to the location where I extracted the zip file that contains the fonts. Then I’ve printed (read generated) a PDF through the free PDF995 printer driver (http://www.pdf995.com/), and that seems to work just fine. Could you try if that works for you? If so then the problem is most likely related to Acrobat Distiller 7.0.5.

After creating the font catalog using the recommended software PDF995, that solved the problem I was having of type not displaying right. I fully recommend both MainType 2.1 and PDF995.

Thanks again
