Hi,
My new learning video about how to insert numerals inside Arabic endofayah mark up to three digits.
Thanks
Is there an English version ?
Hello PJMiller,
Maybe I will try to make a translation soon, l will inform you… Thanks
Well actually I know how to do this but I was just interested in the video.
I don’t know if it is better to do these videos in Arabic or not, I think there are more English speaking people on YouTube than Arabic speaking people but there are probably more Arabic speaking people who want to know how to put digits into the Arabic End of Ayah character than there are English speaking people who want to do this.
It’s up to you, either way is fine.
Hello Paul,
That is true, I agree with you totally, in two casese I think English version is necessary, hope to make it soon.
Thank you
How about adding English subtitles? That might be much less work than making a new video.
Yes BP , good idea, I am able to do taht
Subtitles are a good solution and easier than recording a new soundtrack.
A question occurred to me about the Arabic End of Ayah character.
The Quran has been translated into many languages including English and most European languages, how are the ends of the verses handled in English ? Is the End of Ayah character used with Latin digits ? If this is so then maybe the open type feature for Arabic endofayah ought to handle Latin digits as well when used in Latin texts. This would be complicated I think because it would be LTR and not RTL.
I am just a little curious about this.
Hello Paul,
I had checked some Arabic-latin fonts, Arabic endofayah should work in the same manner for both Arabic and English digits, if it included in the SingleAdjustment tables… But I didn’t know why it isn’t work correctly, see attached font as example please?
I Think this subject need some development in general, if Erwin agree
Scheherazade_New.zip (302 KB)
