Eastern European characters within Flash

I’ve created an original font with Eastern European characters (specifically Czech and Polish)… This original font is being being used exclusively in Adobe Flash. Within Flash we can see the all the Eastern European characters fine, but once I publish, the final file omits all out Eastern European characters… Standard characters and symbols appear fine, as well as common accented characters (such as: É)… I’ve tested other fonts, such as Arial, and they behave normally (I’m able to see their Eastern European characters).

Is there something I’m neglecting to do when I save my font file in FontCreator that would cause this? I’ve attached my font file.

Using Version 5.6… Thank you,
-David

The following may help.

Format Settings… Ranges

In the section on Code Page Character Ranges, please click on Edit… and then check the boxes for Latin 2: Eastern Europe (1250) and Windows Baltic (1257) then click OK and OK and then save the font.

Does that solve the problem?

The following thread may possibly help, just as background reading.

Looking further at your font I notice that it does not have a Macintosh Roman platform, so there is a possibility that that may cause a problem.

I am not sure as to what are the implications of a font not having a Macintosh Roman platform. Does anyone reading this thread have any ideas about this please?

Unfortunately this didn’t solve the problem… Because of my urgent deadline, I’m now forced now to open Arial (which I know works) and copy and paste in my own original characters into the Arial font…

Thanks for your help,

I don’t know what publish means, but if it’s a Flash related process, then do contact the makers of flash.
