When I’m typing with my font in photoshop, if i type F and L together they dissapear and the same with F and I. So Find turns into nd and reflect turns into re ect. Can anyone help? Thanks.
The OpenType Standard Ligatures feature replaces a sequence of glyphs such as ‘fl’ or ‘fi’ with a single glyph. If the mapping takes you to a code point where there is a blank space instead of a ligature, you’ll get a blank space instead of a ligature!
Well I’m kind of new to this so how would i correct this?
You have at least three choices (best first):
- Add the Alphabetic Presentation form ligatures to your font: ff, fi, ffi, fl, ffl.
- Change the font export settings not to include OpenType features
- Disable Ligatures in PhotoShop
