I’m wanting to export a font without “-Regular” in the name.
In Properties>General, I unchecked “Include on export” for the style name, but it’s still exporting with the suffix.

There is a couple of topics with a similar request, so this seems to be something we should consider.
What is your exact need for this? Is renaming after exporting the font file not sufficient?
It’s completely possible, of course. But I’m doing extensive font testing, and the json file for the font has to be installed in a folder that exactly matches the font name, so I just have to rename it constantly.
But it’s not a great trial. I just expected it would work since I had unchecked the box. It would certainly be nice, when I’m exporting 30 or more iterations of the font.
I would also like to have the ability to export without ‘-Regular’ in the file name.
It’s not a big deal, but it would be a better workflow for us. I was away from managing fonts in my company for a while, and when i came back i found that all our latest fonts have ‘-Regular’ on the end. It’s a little messy.
