$F080-$F09F not displaying in one font

I apologize if what follows is unclear. I’ll do my best. FC14/Win11

RevereFinale, a music notation font I made using FC back in 2007, has worked perfectly in earlier versions of Finale software – including with my custom characters in the $F080-$F09F range. (The software’s original music fonts were set to the private area.)

Finale 26 and 27, however, show these slots as blank with my font, and the characters no longer appear on existing scores that I need to edit. The characters $AF-$B2 ($F0AF-$F0B2) are critical to these scores.

Last week, now in FC 14, I added code points for $80-$9F and re-exported the font. The characters in neither range appear in the Finale dialog, yet they all appear in the Windows character map. I can paste them into Finale’s expression designer, into Word, etc., from the character map – but certain features of the software require that I take them from Finale’s own character map, where they are blank. I have another font created and exported on the same day, with the only difference being that a few characters are narrower, and it works fine (except that its name displays in text and not the actual font).

I’m not sure how to determine the differences between the working font and the one with blank characters (nor why the ‘good’ font’s name doesn’t show up in its own font). As far as I can tell, except for a few characters and the date/time/name properties, both fonts appear identical in all FC’s parameters.

Thanks for any advice!
