Font export issue in FC 15. Windows file access

I just installed and started using FontCreator version 15. Windows is requiring admin privileges to make any changes to the .otf files i’ve exported out of version 15. This just started with version 15. I’ve used previous versions of FontCreator in the past and have not had this issue. Is there an export setting i can change to make the .otf files user editable?

Thanks.

In general, the exported font files should be accessible without requiring admin rights. Could it be that you saved them to a protected location, such as the root of your C: drive? Let me know where the files are located, and I’ll gladly help you further.

I worked with IT here and i think we solved it. We set ‘Embedded Licensing Rights’ to ‘Editable (read-write)’.

Glad to hear the issue is resolved!

Just a quick note: the embedding setting controls how the font can be used in documents, but it doesn’t affect file permissions or whether admin rights are needed to edit the file. Still, great that it’s working now! Let me know if anything else comes up.
