I’m creating a revision to a current font that has geology point symbols in it. I’m creating the revision as a separate font so I can keep the current and revised versions separate. I made some changes, installed the revised font and tried using it in Excel and Word. However, the revised font doesn’t appear in the font drop down (it is installed, I’ve confirmed that) even though the original (current) font does. The current and revised fonts have different names.
The Excel file has a listing of the current font, the purpose of each glyph, the description of any edits required for the existing glyphs and places for new glyphs. The current font works in the spreadsheet, the revised one does not (because it’s not in the drop down).
I’ve rebooted to see if that is what is necessary to fully register a font but no effect.
Any ideas?
