The English town named Stratford-upon-Avon was the childhood home of William Shakespeare, the English dramatist (1564-1616) and there is a large, world famous, theatre nearby along this road, on the opposite side of the road. The choice of wording (namely “The Encore”) and the design of the lettering in the sign is perhaps intended to convey the imagery of both the theatre and the historical time period of Shakespeare intertwined.

Surprised as usual I was able to identify it. The version I have is called Aquiline possibly one of those stolen by AllType. Manfred Klein also had a version called Aquiline Two based on font from Expert Software.

Nice font for a non-opentype/non-pro product.
