I’m new here and evaluating the software at this stage.
When exporting the font, some Farsi glyphs are not exporting correctly or not at all.
The uni codes and names are correct. What I’m I am doing wrong. I cannot view the supposedly missing glyphs in Indesign or Word.
Arabic glyphs are good to go.
thank you. Mod.
Did you add OpenType layout features to your font?
This is required for complex fonts like Arabic. More information is available here:
Developing OpenType Fonts for Arabic Script
FontCreator can generate several features for you, but you need to add anchors to your glyphs and make sure you use correct glyph names. See:
Arabic Font Design
Hi Erwin
Not too sure about all of these requirements. Yes, I have anchors and all of that.
In the old days one can do writing with brush and ink, I used to do it with bamboo stick shaped for my purpose of writing. These days one need a degree in IT to develop one glyph. What happened to the term of (what you see is what you get)?
Anyhow, have some issue with the (rlig) as well as farsi. In the fathatan with lam alef they are too high. It seems I cannot reposition or manipulate like other glyphs. If you have time, please have a look.
Many thanks.

Can you provide some sample text and explain what fails to show and what you expect to see?
