Incorrect font export

Hi,
I have an old font for an old software, uses HTML codes as internal names. The font has two weights - normal and bold. Both have excactly the same settings.
When I export them after editing some character, the bold one works properly. But the normal one get its name with suffix “Normal”, and all characters become empty in the old software.
Thanks for your help.

Do send both the original font files and the newly exported ones to us and we will look into it.

Your —_0.old.TTF font is a legacy Symbol font. Do select Tools → Convert Font → Convert to Unicode Font to upgrade it to a modern font. The issue with the font name is due to the style name which is set to Normal, which is wrong. It should be Regualr, then it should have correct names on export.

Still your codepoints remain for Latin while the font actually contains Hebrew, so that remains an issue.

Thank you.
I followed your instructions, and I see that when I open the files on Windows Font Viewer, the bold one appears in correct hebrew despite it is a latin font. But the regular one does not appear correctly. There is explain to that?

And accordingly, the normal weight still doesn’t appear well in the old software. A character I added appears as a square.

Can you show some screenshots that illustrate how it shows in FontCreator, also what you see when you select your new character in FontCreator?
